November 2026 Volunteer of the Month

Tim Gordon
Chief Compliance Officer

My role at PBSA:
My role at PBSA has evolved quite a bit since I first started volunteering. I spent the last eight years on the Board of Directors, where I had the opportunity to work closely with the BSCC, US Council, DEI/VPAG Group, Finance, LDC, and several other committees. I also spent four years on the Executive Committee, including serving as Chair of the Board from 2024 to 2025.
Why I wanted to volunteer with PBSA:
InfoMart has a long history of supporting PBSA through volunteering. Tammy Cohen was a founding member, Renee Harbeson is infamous to most veteran PBSA attendees, and Adam Townsend spent time on the Board of Directors and as the Chair of the US Council. I very much wanted to follow in their footsteps and to hopefully make my own positive impact on the organization.
What I do when not at work:
I have a 10-year-old, Owie, who is very into retro video games these days, so he and I are always out looking for the next thing to add to our collection. I also enjoy playing golf, watching Game Changer (on Dropout TV), Survivor, and The Traitors with my wife, and taking our two golden retrievers on their daily walks.
What I'm reading:
Technically, I listened to the audiobook, but I cannot recommend Project Hail Mary enough. I also find myself going back to Ishmael by Daniel Quinn from time to time.
Favorite website, podcast, blogs, etc.:
This time of year, my podcast rotation is pretty heavy on college football. The Audible and Andy & Ari get the most airtime through the National Championship game. I also really enjoy Search Engine with PJ Vogt.
On my desk right now (books, personal items, etc.):
As I'm writing this, I've got my Nintendo Switch 2 case, some Buc-ee's Orange Blast Sour candy, my Osmo Action 4 camera (we took Owie on a trip for his birthday, and I want to capture some video), a few pieces of retro gaming equipment waiting to be taken apart and cleaned or repaired, and a picture of my wife and me holding Owie when he was just a week old.
