Allison Forsyth is the Chief Sport Officer at Respect Sport and a leading voice in advancing safe, psychologically healthy sport environments. Her ‘real talk’ approach has reached thousands across more than 50 sport organizations nationwide.

A 2-time Olympian and 8-time National Champion in alpine skiing, Allison brings a powerful perspective shaped by her lived experience as a survivor of abuse in sport. She was named one of Canada’s Top 25 Women of Influence in 2023 and continues to help organizations turn Safe Sport policies into meaningful action.

Antoine Guilmain is a partner and co-leader of Gowling WLG’s National Cybersecurity and Data Protection Practice Group. Antoine is also an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law of the Université de Sherbrooke. He holds a doctorate in IT Law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne and Université de Montréal. He has published numerous monographs and articles, lectures frequently and teaches at several universities.

Mark Sward is Senior Director, Compliance & Privacy with HireRight, where he provides business-friendly guidance and collaboration to ensure that the company’s tech, products, and processes comply with applicable laws and good privacy practices.

He has been in the screening industry for more than 15 years, working in both the US and Canada to influence policy decisions around background screening and promote good privacy, human rights and compliance practices by screening firms and end users alike.

Luc brings over a decade of experience in the background screening industry, with deep expertise in global compliance, privacy, social media screening and workforce risk management. Based in Calgary, Alberta, he serves as Chair-Elect of the Canadian Professional Background Screeners Association (PBSA), where he helps shape industry standards and advance best practices across Canada.

 

In his role at Fama, Luc works closely with employers, government organizations, industry partners, and screening providers to navigate the evolving landscape of social media screening. He regularly consults on the legal, ethical, and operational considerations of integrating publicly available online information into hiring and workforce risk programs, with a strong focus on Canadian privacy requirements and global compliance.

Drawing on experience supporting organizations across North America and internationally, Luc provides practical guidance on building responsible, compliant, and future-ready screening programs that balance risk mitigation with fairness, transparency and candidate trust.

Nicole has over 14 years of experience working in the background screening industry and has been with Xpera HR Services since 2010. Nicole is located in the Vancouver area of British Columbia.

Nicole joined the PBSA Education Committee in 2023.
