Orange Tree Employment Screening

Provide a short summary of your background, affiliations and experience as they pertain to the work of NAPBS.

I have been in the background screening industry for over 22 years. Along with being part of the NAPBS and some of the committee’s including Best Practice and Provider Advisory Group, I have also been on the Subcommittee on Access and Accuracy. I am part of other professional organizations including Infragard, ASIS International and ASIS MN Chapter.

From your perspective, what are the three most important priorities that NAPBS should pursue during the next two years?

•Legal – Keep in front of legal action when possible and continue to utilize the members call to action.

•Education – Of our industry, who we are and what we do and the service we provide.

•Work with states/counties where access has become limited to either roll back the restriction or open industry access.

How do you see your contribution on the Board for realizing these priorities?

The work has already been set in motion by the NAPBS leadership, it is more important than ever to continue with the progress to ensure a strong voice for the NAPBS and its membership for years to come.

What is your long-term vision for NAPBS’s impact on the background screening industry?

When new screening laws and/or change in court access are considered by local, state, federal levels that the NAPBS would be looked at as the ‘go to’ organization to ensure the new laws or regulation do not shut down or limit the background screening industry.
